Restructuring of a portion of the building of the Convent of the Sacro Cuore di Gesù alla Nocein Palermo.
The first rooms of the Convent of the Sacro Cuore di Gesù alla Noce tree in Palermo were purchased in 1893. Over the years, the current college (1933), the new church of the Sacro Cuore (1945) and the social center (1962) were also erected. In the years 1975-1985 it hosted the minor seminary. Since 1989 the postulate of the Province has been located in the convent.
In 2019, extraordinary maintenance work began by the Scancarello Gaetano company, which used the most modern technologies, including the creation of periodic 3D virtual tours, for the purpose of realistic photographic acquisition, and the correct perception of places.
With the renovation of this part of the Convent, year-round comfort, energy savings, elimination of local emissions from combustion and low environmental impact had to be granted.
Last but not least, the management of the system had to be simple and ensure the optimization of the use of the energy necessary to ensure comfort.
For heating, air conditioning and production of domestic hot water in the rooms of the portion of the convent, the company has chosen Clivet air conditioning systems.
Domestic hot water is produced by an ELFOEnergy Extended Inverter WSAN-XIN 141 air-cooled inverter heat pump to which arwe connected 2 500-liter boilers, connected to 8 solar thermal collectors.
Heating and air conditioning of the rooms is entrusted to a VRF system consisting of 2 M5XMi 280T outdoor units to which 9 and 10 indoor units are respectively connected to serve the various rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor. The ground floor is served by an M5XMI 335 T outdoor unit, to which 11 indoor units are connected.
The air conditioning system is managed through Clivet CCM15 control system, which allows the management of the various units remotely via PC and smartphones.
The installed system guarantees comfort all year round both in summer and in winter and does not produce combustion emissions as it is all electric.
It also allows the exploitation of solar energy both indirect through heat pump technology and direct thanks to the combination with thermal solar panels.
The result is better energy efficiency, lower environmental impact and lower management costs.
Thanks to the CCM15 Data Converter, the system can be managed at any time and from any place via PC or smartphone, ensuring the best system regulation to avoid the waste of energy.
