Results and solution
Inside the operational headquarters of Befreest, an ELFOFresh EVO air renewal and purification system by Clivet has been installed, featuring active electronic filters against smoke, fine dust, viruses, and bacteria, and active thermodynamic recovery. It carries out the air exchange and, thanks to the active thermodynamic recovery, provides a high energy contribution, under the supervision of the ecosystem designed by Befreest nose4.0, which completely controls the unit via IoT.
The ELFOFresh EVO unit has been installed inside the offices with the supply and return ducts kept cased in order to show the system to Customers, who can see and experience the proposed solutions for indoor air quality.
The Befreest sensors (noseC) constantly measure the CO2, temperature, and humidity in the offices and send the data to the Cloud, where they are processed to calculate the risk of SARS-COV-2 contagion determined through dedicated algorithms. When the calculated risk exceeds the alarm levels, the Cloud starts the ELFOFresh EVO system, which, through dedicated IoT control, provides the air exchange in the premises for the necessary time.
This mode makes it possible to reduce the costs of air exchange, activating the system only when and for the time necessary to reduce the risks, which is particularly useful in situations such as offices, where occupancy is discontinuous. In fact, offices remain empty at night, during the lunch break, and on holidays, and meeting rooms have variable occupancy.
