The new sizes of the heat pump range Sheen EVO 2.0 (WiSAN-YSE1) and the new chiller range ELFOEnergy Sheen EVO (WSAT-YSi) are equipped with inverter scroll compressors using R32 refrigerant, and inverter fans with larger diameter compared with the already available sizes.

The WiSAN-YSE1 heat pump range extension has a heating capacity from 98 to 138 kW, and is the ideal solution to meet different kind of applications thanks to full inverter technology and wide operating range.

It’s available in two different energy versions:

• EXCELLENCE version, with outstanding efficiency levels both in cooling and heating (SCOP up to 4,65 and SEER up to 4,95), able to provide high leaving water temperature and suitable for colder climate thanks to the wide operating range, keeping a quieter operation. 
• PREMIUM version, most effective and valuable solution both in terms of capital investment and running cost thanks to competitive efficiency (SCOP up to 4,11 and SEER up to 4,67) and enhanced delivered capacity with a single circuit solution.

The WSAT-YSi chiller range extension with full inverter technology and wide operating range from 110 to 130 kW, will be available in a single high efficiency version reaching a seasonal efficiency in cooling (SEER) up to 5,10.

Further strengths

Eco-friendly solution

The use of R32 refrigerant, with a low GWP (Global Warming Potential = 675), guarantees an environmental impact that is about -70% compared to traditional R-410A refrigerant (GWP = 2088).

Advanced technology

Inverter scroll compressors, high efficiency DC fans with variable speed control and larger diameter, copper aluminum coils with hydrophilic treatment as standard for the heat pump range or microchannel full aluminum coils for the chiller range, are some of the technologies available that allow to:

• Perfectly match the cooling load of the plant in any condition;
• Follow the load also with a great staging;
• Ensure high efficiency values, reducing operating costs;
• Ensure negligible start-up current.

Low noise operation

The range extension of the heat pump Sheen EVO 2.0 offers 2 different acoustic levels with the related performances, without changing the unit dimensions:

• Acoustic configuration with compressor soundproofing (SC): basic version;
• Super-silenced acoustic configuration (EN): -5 dB (A) less compared to SC version.

The night mode is also available, for a further reduction of the unit noise emissions by 3dB(A) compared to the super-silent version.

The capacity range for standard and super-silent configurations varies according also to the 2 selectable energy versions:

EXCELLENCE Version:

• Acoustic configuration with compressor soundproofing (SC): Range 98,2 - 106,7 kW;
• Super-silenced acoustic configuration (EN): Range 90,2 - 95,2 kW.

PREMIUM Version:

• Acoustic configuration with compressor soundproofing (SC): Range 117,1 - 137,6 kW;
• Super-silenced acoustic configuration (EN): Range 98,4 - 112,8 kW.

The range extension of the chiller ELFOEnergy Sheen EVO offers 4 different acoustic versions:

• Standard with compressor soundproofing;
• Silent: -4 dB (A) less compared to SC version;
• Super-silent: -7 dB (A) less compared to SC version;
• Night mode: -9 dB (A) less compared to SC version.

The capacity range for each noise configuration changes, and so to estimate the reduction of silent, super-silent and night mode, correction factors are available in the technical bulletin.

Maximum adaptability

The capacity modulation from 100% to 30% and  the extended operating limits that guarantee the operation all year round, are able to satisfy the requirement of multiple operating conditions.

Extended operating limits

Due to dedicated design, the range extension of the heat pump Sheen EVO 2.0 EXCELLENCE is able to produce:

• Leaving water temperature up to 60°C from 0°C to 30°C ambient;
• Leaving water temperature up to 55°C from -10°C to 30°C ambient;
• Leaving water temperature up to 53°C down to -15°C ambient;
• Operating down to -20°C ambient with leaving water temperature up to 45°C.

The PREMIUM version keeps instead the same, already competitive, envelope of the already available smaller sizes except for the maximum leaving water temperature of 55°C down to 0°C ambient (instead of -4°C as it is for the sizes up 40.2 of the already released range).

The range extension of the chiller ELFOEnergy Sheen EVO grants the same wide envelope of the already available sizes up to 40.2, and so:

• Leaving water temperature from -8°C up to 20°C with 36°C ambient;
• Leaving water temperature from 0°C up to 20°C with 48°C ambient.

Many options and accessories are available:

• Hydropack with 1 on/off pump;
• Hydropack with 1 inverter pump;
• Hydropack with 2 on/off pumps running together;
• Hydropack with 2 inverter pumps running together;
• Storage tank;
• Drain tray with electric heater;
• Additional condensing coil treatment for aggressive ambients;
• 3-way valve for domestic hot water production (only for the WiSAN-YSE1).

Cascade management

Both the ranges Sheen EVO 2.0 and ELFOEnergy Sheen  EVO are designed to connect up to 16 units in a local network, reaching a maximum system capacity of 2200 kW in heating and 2080 kW in cooling.

Thanks to the new electrical control box, are available many additional function to better fit each specific installation requirement:
