Private semi-detached house in Neunkirchen Seelscheid in North Rhine-Westphalia

How to move from boiler to monoblock heat pump while keeping radiators

The challenge

The owners of the semi-detached house, which was built in the 70s-80s, wanted to replace their old, malfunctioning gas boiler with an energy-efficient solution.

No special renovation work had been carried out over the years and the radiators were to remain in place.

It was also important to ensure that the neighbours would not be disturbed by noise in this densely populated area.

As this was a semi-detached house, there were only a few installation options, the best one being directly in front of a window.

The solution

Since the customer had recently bought a photovoltaic system, he decided to install a heat pump, choosing Clivet with its many years of experience.

With the monobloc EDGE EVO 2.0 - EXC 8.1T heat pump the customer did not have to worry about the installation location.

Despite the maximum output of 16 kW, the outdoor unit remains below the height of the parapet.
The fact that it is located in a densely populated residential area also played no role, as the EDGE EVO 2.0 - EXC is one of the quietest on the market.

The resuls

Thanks to the monobloc from Clivet, the EDGE EVO 2.0 - EXC, the customer is optimally equipped in terms of energy for the coming years and no longer has to worry about the cold season.
